Our story

From selling good food to growing it

Green Peas began with a simple belief: people deserve food they can trust. The farm is the next step, a place where that food is grown in the open and where anyone can come and learn how.

Why a farm

Lebanon has deep agricultural roots and soil worth protecting. We wanted to show, on real land, that farming can rebuild soil instead of wearing it out, and that it can be done in public with people taking part.

Why regenerative

Regenerative farming means leaving the land better each year: more life in the soil, more water held in the ground, more diversity above it. Permaculture gives us the design principles to get there.

Why with you

A farm built by many hands belongs to more than its owners. Every workshop, planting day and shared meal makes this place a little more of a commons.

“The best time to join a farm is before it exists.”

What we hold to

  1. 01

    Care for the soil

    Everything else depends on it.

  2. 02

    Care for people

Good food, fair work and open knowledge.

  3. 03

    Return the surplus

What we do not need goes back to the land and the community.

  4. 04

    Learn in the open

We share what fails as well as what works.

Green Peas, the marketplace

The farm and the marketplace share a name and a mission, and they are separate places. For groceries and deliveries, visit the Green Peas shop.
