The living classroom

The whole farm is the lesson

We are designing the farm as a place to learn by doing. Six zones, each showing one part of how a regenerative farm works. Some are taking shape now and others will follow.

Sample content
A handful of dark, living soil
Zone 1Taking shape

Soil

Where everything begins and ends.

The compost yard and soil corner show how organic matter becomes fertility. Visitors turn piles, compare soils by hand and learn to read what the ground needs.

You will learn

  • Composting methods
  • Mulching
  • Life in the soil

Zone 2Planned

Nursery

The farm's beginning, every season.

Seeds, cuttings and young trees are raised here before they move out to the land. It is the best place to understand patience.

You will learn

  • Seed sowing and saving
  • Cuttings and grafting
  • Raising healthy seedlings

Zone 3Planned

Food Production

Beds that feed people and soil together.

Vegetable and herb beds planted in mixtures rather than monocultures, so each plant supports its neighbours.

You will learn

  • Companion planting
  • Crop rotation
  • Growing without chemicals

Zone 4Planned

Animals

Working partners, not decoration.

Animals turn scraps into fertility, manage pests and bring a farm to life. This zone shows how they fit into the whole.

You will learn

  • Daily animal care
  • Animals and soil fertility
  • Welfare and respect

Zone 5Taking shape

Water

Slow it, spread it, sink it.

In a Mediterranean climate, water design decides everything. This zone follows rain from where it lands to where it is stored and used.

You will learn

  • Rainwater harvesting
  • Water-wise irrigation
  • Reading slope and flow

Zone 6Planned

Agroforestry

A food forest in the making.

Fruit and nut trees, shrubs and ground covers planted in layers, modelled on a young woodland that happens to be edible.

You will learn

  • Planting in layers
  • Native and adapted species
  • Long-term design

For schools and groups

We are preparing visits for schools, universities and community groups. Tell us about your group and what you would like them to learn.
